strawberry margaritas

I know you all have been waiting on bated breath for this post and I was right there with you. Trust me, it was damn near torturous knowing I had booze in the house but couldn’t drink it.

It was no easy task thinking up what I’d make with the flavored booze but then I remembered the general affinity for strawberry margs and had an epiphany. I’d make a girly drink less girly. Is that even possible? I thought I’d at least attempt it.

Let me tell you this; the strawberry infused tequila I made is the bomb dot com and a half. I’m not going to toot my own horn that I can make a damn good drink, but will rather give all the credit to the tequila. Ah-maz-ing.

I made these with three simple ingredients and used some fresh strawberries (organic of course), limes and salt as garnish. These are obviously 100% mandatory or you’ll have a mediocre marg and that isn’t how we do it in my family or on this blog.

Strawberry Margaritas:
3 oz strawberry infused blanco tequila
1 oz lime juice*
1.5 oz Cointreau (or triple sec or Grand Marnier…whatever)

Makes one drink and can easily be doubled, tripled, quadruped or whatever blows your skirt up.

*Since it is a royal pain in the ass to juice enough limes to make some margs, I fully support using bottled lime juice. I prefer the bottled key lime, but I leave this up to you completely.

Trust me, friends, you couldn’t even taste the liquor. Legit tasted like strawberry limeade aka heaven on earth. If you don’t try this you’re just ridiculous.
