San Francisco City Hall Wedding

We got married!

It was a San Francisco City Hall Wedding! Even before the panini! Does anyone read here anymore? Why did I ask a question I knew the answer to? Moment of silence for how much WordPress has changed in the past several years. Okay, moving on.

If there is a contest for world’s most negligent blogger, I am be top seeded to win. I ghosted this space five years ago, then went through the trouble of making the site pretty and paying for hosting for what?

Anyway, let’s talk about the fun shit. A lot has changed in the past five years. We bought a house! Got married! Our pets are no longer bastards! I need to do an entirely separate post on planning a wedding 100% remotely with no planner since you’re here for the photos.

As you may or may not know, making wedding-related decisions is really, really, really difficult. This is saying something since I make decisions all day long for money (a.k.a. it is my job). Hiring a photographer is very overwhelming, and we absolutely hit the jackpot.

Did we have the best photographer ever? Yes

I was lucky enough to have worked with Megan in a previous role where she was an ER Veterinarian freelancing as a Wedding Photographer. We spent three days together in Colorado many moons ago shooting staff in a few of the hospitals my agency worked with. Obviously planning a wedding involves making a lot of decisions, however hiring Megan was the easiest one. Best decision I made. I’m pretty sure my husband agrees, too!

Let me make it clear that this post isn’t sponsored by Megan but if you’re getting married, you need to hire her ASAP .

More pictures, please!

Okay! Onto the photos. We chose to have a San Francisco City Hall wedding because I’m from the Bay Area, and my husband’s grandmother was from there too. Coincidentally, his grandfather proposed to his grandmother at Coit Tower so it was special to us (and selfishly I wanted a small(ish) wedding).

First, we shot at City Hall. Second order of business was to take photos at Sutro Baths. If you’re getting married in SF, you have to take pictures by the Pacific Ocean. I do not regret this decision or being late to our reception at all.
